Dr. Jessie Esparza received her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University in 2011 and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She enjoys being a general practitioner and has taken a particular interest in general surgery, internal medicine, and client education in regard to helping pets lead healthier lives.
Dr. Jessie is a Texan who sought cooler climates and a different landscape, setting her sights on Colorado. She joined the All Dogs & Cats Veterinary Hospital team in 2022. Growing up she always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian after receiving a PlaySkool doctor kit at the age of 3 and took to pretending to practice medicine on her family’s two Shelties.
Dr. Jessie strives to strengthen and protect the human-animal bond. She particularly enjoys the trust she builds with pet guardians and hopes those long-lasting relationships will better enable her to provide optimal care for her patients from puppyhood all the way through their geriatric stages of life.
In her spare time, Dr. Jessie is an avid reader, video gamer, and writer. She currently resides in Glenwood Springs with her cat, Aramis.
If you were a dog breed, what would you be and why? “I don’t see myself as any particular dog breed. I think I have the attitude more suited to that of a cat and I’d like it to be socially acceptable for me to sleep 16 hours a day. And someone has to represent the “And Cats” of All Dogs & Cats.”
